Family Fiesta 2008
A Family get-together function was held on Aug 15 th in Neyveli Township in a grand manner. Employees and their family members of Neyveli Thermal Power Station-I Expansion have participated in the function. The function was held from 4pm to 10 pm with variety of games and cultural Programmes.
The function starts with high tea at 4pm.The chief Guest of the function was Mr.Perumal Samy, CGM of TS-II & Expn ( former CGM of TS-I Expn ) and Mr.Paramasivam, Rtd CGM of TS-I Expn besides GM/TS-II and GM/PSE.
Competitions were held for children, house wifes, students and employees separately. Lot of members participated in the games enthusiastically.
The tuck off war ( by rope pulling) for the employees has attracted all the participants. One of the chief guest Mr.Perumal Samy has participated in one of the team. Even though his team played very well they have missed the prize narrowly in the final.
Then cultural Programmes were performed by the wards of the employees in the stage. First one dance programme of 7 small girls for different film songs were held.Then two Yaga demonstrations were performed by children of Mr.Pandarasivan and Children of Mr.Kanagaraj.Detailes of the Yoaga and their uses were also announced during the performance which very usefull for all the participants. After one dance programme by daughter of Mr.Ravi, one Hindi film song was sung by a small boy ( Master Pandey).
One nice comedy drama "Columbus Detective Agency was staged by Mr.N.Rengarajan and his team. In the drama they have variety of clients with their request to find their missing things.The first client asked to find his valuable vehicle while another client asked not to find his wife. Another client asked to find his valuable diamonds missed in a forest. The drama unfolds what they have missed and how the detective has found them and got award from the Government. It was very well enjoyed by all.
There was a also a game in Thirukkural conducted by Mr.Nambirajan and his team. The participants has to purchase one cover containing a Thirukkural. They have to check the cover to find the Thirukkural from the hinds announced intermittently during the cultural programme. Those who have got a photo of Abhinav Bindra in the cover got instant prize.
Then finally there was a nice dinner and enjoyed by all the participants.
